Teachers and Teacher Trainers

PROLANT-CAP offers a fresh perspective for career development and provides an effective career path for Foreign Language teachers and trainers.

Our goal is to create a new, vocationally oriented  career path and further education pathway for FL teachers and trainees,  not only in Slovakia but in all European countries ( PROLANT CAP.)

The career path comprises a framework of developmental phases and  quality standards regarding knowledge and skills for  each phase.

Language providers

As we work out the career path for FL teachers and trainers that will be applied to the language school training scheme within the existing language schools, they will be advised to implement the PROLANT-CAP model into their schools. They will be motivated to exploit the needs of their trainers once trained and in the forthcoming PROLANT-CAP conferences all the PROLANT-CAP schools will be able to offer further training options for all the participants.

As the PROLANT-CAP training scheme will be part of the national networks, the motivation and drive of the language business owners will be to further develop it and build upon it.

Our customers

We base all our training programmes upon the specific needs and expectations of our customers operating in the car industry and tourism development. In this project we focus on companies and practitioners, business owners and managers who wish to have their employees trained in these specialized English language courses.

As the language is learnt through the medium of the content (CLIL methodology), the students tend to be more motivated as they see the lessons as more relevant to their professional lives. New concepts are embedded more deeply by processing their subject knowledge through communication in another language.

am Language Studio decided to join this project as we strive to create more opportunities for career development and progression for our teachers. The project itself is interesting and ties in with the direction we would like to continue building on. By also providing an opportunity for my team to work on an EU project, we are also creating more opportunities for foreign teachers to come to Malta and develop themselves within their chosen industry, ultimately giving them the opportunity for further career progression.

We do believe that learning languages is a key step in all people life, but often course providers and trainers are not enough experienced and professional. Probably this is due to the lack of rules and giuridical frameworks (i.e. Accreditation or quality procedures) the leads to a too flexible market and low motivated trainers.
